LPG Systems

A patented design of a new LPG vapouriser design utilising our thermally enhanced and hydrophobic polymer, has enabled a simplified method by which the liquefied petroleum gas can expand without the need for external heating of the chamber.

 

The expansion of LPG from its liquid state will introduce an extremely cold expansion of the gas, similar to that in a freezer compartment.  To ensure traditional expansion chambers did not ice up and fail, the chamber was connected to a car’s cooling system to circulate warm water.  This required a lengthy and costly conversion program for any car wishing to run on LPG, as well as adding additional weight.

Luichart’s IP has enabled us to dispense with the heavy and external heating system whilst still providing the same level of performance by modifying a polymer which repels water/ice and is thermally conductive.
